Mark Smith of Leeds Media Services filming Bounce for Leeds 2011

Bounce for Leeds was a charity event organised by Yorkshire Cancer Research to raise money for their charity work. 775 people turned out to try and break the world record for the most people racing over 100m on space hoppers along with a 1 minute sponsored space hopper bounce. Unfortunately they didn’t break last years record of 771 people but more importantly thousands of pounds were raised in sponsorship and everyone involved had lots of fun.

Watch the videoon YouTube to see how they got on - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTxv2Cywy14

Yorkshire Cancer Research is Yorkshire’s Cancer charity. Every penny they raise is spent in Yorkshire, helping local people beat cancer and supporting world-class research, diagnosis and treatment in our region. They work throughout Yorkshire and they benefit Yorkshire people, in addition to sharing their findings to improve lives of people everywhere.
